Bible is the source of spiritual inspiration and guidance influencing millions of lives around. People are turning towards Bible not only for spiritual guidance and strength but now many are turning to it to lose weight and for healthier living. Diet as stated in the Bible, Bible Diet, preaches the benefits of all natural and unprocessed foods, like vegetables and whole grains.
Bible Diet is a spiritual and nutritional guide to healthy living and disease prevention based on God’s Holy World. Although these instructions are recorded in the Bible thousands of years ago, it is still relevant to us today, and if followed religiously and spiritually could prevent many of the diseases we are facing today. Following these instructions as instructed in the Bible is the spiritual act of worship to be obedient to all God’s laws and statues including those pertaining to our physical well being.
Following the nutritional advice found in the Bible, one can undoubtedly remain healthy. In Biblical times, people didn’t have junk food, soft drinks, refined white sugar and other obesity promoting ingredients to worry about. Our 21st century lifestyle has added many diseases to the world. In fact, most of the world’s population is suffering from one or more of the numerous symptoms of ill health. It is estimated that over 65% of all these ill health are caused by what we do or do not put into our mouths. Since modern life is causing so many health problems it stands to reason that in order to return to good health, we need to take some of the ‘modern’ out of the equation.
Hippocrates, the recognized founder of modern medicine, once echoed this – “Let food be your medicine and medicine your food”
One simple way to do this is to get back to the fundamentals of health and healing.
The Bible says “…..their fruit will be food and their leaves for medicine” – Ezekiel 47:12
