These days more and more people are seeking divine inspirations for their good health and in their quest for beauty. However, following a diet plan for such reason does not make us a follower of Faith based diets. God created us and he dwells in us. He knows what is best for us and for us body. There are some principles from the word of God and common sense which can help to keep the excessive burden of weight and still enjoy food as it should have been enjoyed.
Proverbs 23:2 And put a knife to thy throat, if thou be a man of appetite.
This statement clearly shows that eating too much is also condemned by the Lord. However, this is not a suggestion to go and kill yourself if you are man of appetite. Faith based diets brings in the realization that being a glutton and eating excessively is a great Sin. However there is nothing mysterious or secret to Faith based diets. The problem lies within us, we generally do not deal with the real problem - Sin. We overlook the fact that eating too much or eating all the wrong food is a sin. Our body is not ours to make it a barrel of fat.
Faith based diets is all about knowing that food is from God, and eating is not evil. Overeating and not knowing when to put down the knife and the fork is a Sin. Food is to be enjoyed as it is provided to us by the God but overeating it in the joy becomes a sin.
We will never have victory in Christian life until we are eager to make a difference between what is sin and what is allowed. Food should not be a problem to us. Anything God said good food in the Bible must NOT be avoided and called "Bad" for us. Faith based diets tells us that we should eat if for the body, and we need to get food out of the profanity and into the holiness of God.
